Casablanca valley is located between the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean, in the heart of the Coastal range mountains, only 30 kilometers from the sea shore.

Its proximity to the sea shore determines the very special climate condition. During summer time, the sea breeze cools down the air and the maximum temperature gets only to 25° Celsius for a very short period of time. The nights are cold with minimum temperature of 14° Celsius. This is the perfect condition for cold weather varieties such as Sauvignon blanc Chardonnay, Pinot and Chardonnay.

The soils have a granitic origin, with a very low natural fertility. Red clay and sand dominate the soil textures.
